Real TV lists the value of the team as if no players were unavailable due to injury. Effective TV lists the value of the team as it will be in the next game: not including unavailable players but including any journeymen that may be assigned. Team values marked with a + indicate that one or more players have an opportunity to level up that has not been selected.
Playoff Criteria
Teams accumulate league points based on the results of each game: two points for a win, one for a tie, zero for a loss. The four teams with the most points in each division advance to the playoff for that division, ranked according to their points, and paired off according to their rank. The teams winning the playoffs for each division face each other in the Beatdown Bowl. The winner of the Beatdown Bowl receives a free concession against them, with the 2 MVPs and treasure associated therewith. If the same player wins both divisions, they may select one of their teams as their champion, with the second-place team in the other division advancing to the Beatdown Bowl.
If two teams tie for league points within a division, then where the distinction is between participating in the playoffs or not, a tiebreaker game should be played. If this game results in a tie, the team with the better cumulative total of points scored minus points allowed advances to the playoff. This same criteria - points scored minus points allowed - is also used to rank teams making it the playoffs with the same number of league points.
If three or more teams tie for league points within a division, then where the distinction is between participating in the playoffs or not, a more complex system is used. If three teams tie, the criteria below are used. If four or more teams tie, or a situation arises that is otherwise not covered by the rules, the resolution is decided based on a consensus (or, failing this, majority-rule) decision by all participants not part of the tying controversy. These participants will attempt to generate a solution that abides by the principle that no one should be excluded from the playoffs without either having less league points than the top four or losing a tiebreaker game.
- If three teams tie for third place, the team with the best TD differential takes third place and the other two play a tiebreaker for fourth.
- If three teams tie for fourth place, the two teams with the worst TD differential play a first tiebreaker, then the winner of that plays the team with the best TD differential for fourth.
