'''Mist Swamp Transcendents'''
Representing the mystics of the Mist Swamp, the Transcendents arrived at Mercato with a request. A match played now will augur one in the future, believed by these t'skrang to determine the fate of the continent. Should Mercato lose, it will provide the Transcendents with a sizeable fleet of ships. Should Mercato win, the Transcendents will provide Mercato with self-fulfilling glimpses of the future.

==Win Result==
+1 fan factor
The Mercato ruling class receives glimpses of the future.
* They invest in the team.
* Succeed at two side goals or ongoing goals that Mercato didn't actually succeed at.
* Advance one player character's final skill.
* Give one rostered non-PC player other than Ulsi, Lyrral, or the snotlings a doubles skill.
* Give the snotling hive a collective doubles skill or stat-up.
A transcendent approaches Karnhage and offers the team captain a vision of the future. Pick one:
* A Step Behind: Karnhage teaches his teammates how to trip up a particular problem player. Apply a temporary -MA casualty to one opposing piece in an upcoming match.
* A Step Ahead: Karnage knows what to say to lighten his teammates' step. Apply a temporary +MA stat-up to two teammates in an upcoming match.
* Team Leader: Kharnage sees just how to inspire his team. Gain one team reroll for one future match.
A transcendent approaches Genghis and offers the entrepreneur a vision of the future.
* Pick a city other than Mercato. Genghis receives a vision of a campaign that causes basketball to catch on there.
A transcendent approaches Grabit and offers the future crime boss a vision of the future.
* Pick an area of organized crime. Grabit receives a vision of an opportunity to establish himself in that area.
A transcendent approaches Smash and offers to work with him. If Smash accepts:
* This group of t'skrang learn about primacy.
* Smash gains [[Ogre Primacy#Apprentice of Time (●●)|Time 2]].
* The source of Skrax's diving tackle and block and Fizz Stickbone’s guard and diving tackle are disentangled from their personal origins, moving the four skills to the snotling knowledge pool.
==Tie Result==
As a reward for avoiding a loss, Mercato invests somewhat in the team.
* Succeed at one side goal or ongoing goal that Mercato didn't actually succeed at.
* Pick one:
** Give one rostered non-PC player other than Ulsi, Lyrral, or the snotlings a normal skill.
** Give the snotling hive a collective normal skill.
==Loss Result==
-1 fan factor
Mercato loses a sizeable portion of its fleet.
* Lose one previously-gained unassigned advancement of a player character's final skill.
* Fire two [[Team_Roster#Principal Non-Player Pieces|principal non-player pieces]].
==Side Goals==
If a player character performs a particularly impressive feat, they gain improved options for their legend level. Examples of impressive plays:
* killing an opposing player or meaningfully injuring an important one
* getting the ball away from an opposing player as part of a play that recovers the ball
* recovering the ball in multiple tackle zones and getting it somewhere safe
* anything critical that requires a 4+ or harder to succeed
==Ongoing Goals==
A player on either team actually dies.
* Yasha is healed of all injuries.
* Yasha's prehensile tail is replaced with tentacles.
* On an actual death past the first (i.e., not including selected successes for a match win or tie) Yasha activates an instance of Bubonost's ongoing goal.
** May be completed multiple times.
Bubonost the Infested's foul appearance triggers, his tentacles cause a player to fail to move, or his new mutation does something meaningful.
* Bubonost is healed of all injuries.
* Pick one:
** Bubonost's wrestle is replaced with another normal skill.
** One of Bubonost's mutations is replaced with another mutation.
* May be completed multiple times.
Furgit inflicts a permanent injury or death, whether or not recovered by an apothecary.
* Furgit may add any number of skills or stats for his next match.
Skrax's diving tackle causes a piece to actually fail a dodge.
* Skrax shares his training with the rest of his clan.
MVP: a non-PC piece does something extraordinary that improves the outcome of the match.
* The piece gains an appropriate skill.
* May be completed multiple times.
