  • An island of sentient trees and the hungry halflings who worship them.

Win Result

+1 fan factor

Iverna will establish an embassy in Mercato. Mercato and Grabit gain access to a particularly skilled halfling master chef, who, thanks in part to Grabit’s ent-wood resources, grants the team the optional ability to determine the outcome of the start-of-game coin toss (which would replace Mercato’s ability to inflict excess cheerleaders). Further, Mercato will invest in player training, allowing the advancement of one player character's final skill that did not otherwise advance this game.

Tie Result

Nothing happens (though that team still gains access to a halfling master chef thanks to Grabit’s scheme).

Loss Result

-1 fan factor

Mercato agrees not to accept the services of any halfling master chef in blood bowl matches. Grabit finds it more difficult to recruit a master chef. Fizz Stickbone wanders into the forest and is never seen again.

Side Goals

If a player character performs a particularly impressive feat, they gain improved options for their legend level:

  • Genghis Pecan: may take +AG
  • Grabit Beardpuller: may take a double or +MA
  • Karnhage Fleethoof: may take +MA or +AG
  • Smash Mogwuht: may take +MA or +AG

Examples of impressive plays:

  • killing an opposing player or meaningfully injuring an important one
  • getting the ball away from an opposing player as part of a play that recovers the ball
  • recovering the ball in multiple tackle zones and getting it somewhere safe
  • anything critical that requires a 4+ or harder to succeed

Ongoing Goals

Furgit inflicts a permanent injury or death, whether or not recovered by an apothecary.

  • Friendly reaches out in the goblin player community for a new skilled Looney or Pogoer.

Skrax's diving tackle causes a piece to actually fail a dodge.

  • After three tackles, Skrax shares his training with the rest of his clan. (1/3)

MVP: a non-PC piece does something extraordinary that improves the outcome of the match.

  • The piece gains an appropriate skill.
