Lady Blackbird Character Creation

By default, each character starts with four traits, with one determined by their blood bowl role. The blood bowl trait starts with a number of tags determined by racial longevity (Goblin: three; Skaven: four; Ogre: five; Centaur: seven) plus one for life primancers, with the tags selected among the options provided. The other traits may be selected outside the options provided. Each of these traits starts with four tags, which may also be selected from outside the options provided. Eight additional tags may be selected, spread across traits as desired. Each character also starts with three keys, which may, again, be selected outside the options provided.

Genghis starts with a fifth trait: Mutant. The seven associated tags are free. During play, these tags may be used with any relevant check by Genghis, no matter the trait or whether any trait is used. Additional Mutant tags may not be selected; they are only received as a result of gaining new mutations.

Grabit starts with a fifth trait: Bodyguard. This trait represents his bodyguard. She receives the Tough and Hidden Blade tags for free, plus four more tags. Grabit's allotment of additional tags may be used to select Bodyguard tags.

Genghis starts with two secrets: the Secret of the Believer (once per refresh, you can keep your pool dice when you succeed) and an additional selection from the options below.

Karnhage starts with two secrets: the Secret of Leadership (once per refresh, you can give someone else a chance to reroll all dice that missed on a check by giving them orders, advice, or setting a good example) and an additional selection from the options below.

  • Secret of Experience: Once per refresh, you can use tags from more than one trait when you make a roll.
  • Secret of the Pro: Once per refresh, you can roll a d6 and, on a 4+, reroll all dice that missed on a check.
  • Secret of [Trait]: Once per refresh, for any check using the specified trait, you can reroll all dice that missed on a check. Can be taken multiple times for different traits.

Karnhage has knowledge of orc rituals. He starts with three minor favors, one significant favor, and no major favors. Once per refresh, given an appropriate circumstance, he may make use of a minor sacrifice to bank a minor favor. In addition, once per refresh, also given an appropriate circumstance, he may make use of a minor sacrifice to gain an immediate minor blessing. Significant favors or additional minor favors may be granted as a storytelling award. Major favors are extraordinarily rare and would be granted as a storytelling award if an applicable exceptional situation arises.
